Welcome, I've updated to current day of March 14, 2024, read below. First of all, I would like to thank all the work done by the Walker River Cattlemen's Association Members and their work crew, they are the ones that make these projects run smooth and on time. They are very skilled and have a lot of knowledge to complete these projects. Thank You, I would have not done it without you. Update: We received a grant from the EPA to establish a new well (Hwy 95 Solar Well) in 2023 year, the new well is located by US Hwy 95, approximately 5-miles north of the Schurz, NV community. The project consist of new well drilling, new trough/tank, and installation of solar panels & pump. Check out photos on the home page. Project is completed 2023. Update: We received a grant from the EPA to establish a new well (Rattlesnake Solar Well) in 2022 year, it's located in the upper Walker River - close to the Weber Reservoir. The project consist of new well drilling, new trough/tank, and installation of a solar panels & pump. Check out photos on the home page. Project is completed 2023. The program submitted a grant proposal to EPA for 2024&2025 fiscal year, the grant if selected will establish a new well in the upper Walker River close to the Weber Reservoir, it will be situated by a round up corral facility, the new well to be drilled will include a solar pump, solar panels to generate power and will include water tank/trough, its intended to serve livestock & wildlife needs. We will find out in May 2024 if we are successful in receiving the grant from EPA, I will update as we continue with this grant. I'll update new activites as we proceed and progress.
